Conservation Commission announces September Meeting

The Regular Conservation Commission meeting will be held Thursday, September 18, 2008, in Friday Harbor, Washington. A tour coordinated by San Juan Islands Conservation District will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 followed by an interaction dinner. Several agricultural pilot projects will benefit from $500,000 in funding from the Washington State Legislature this year.  The pilots were selected for demonstrating increased profitability to agriculture while providing environmental benefits.
