Carol Smith manages the Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program (CREP), which restores riparian habitat. She also has the lead role in salmon, habitat, and monitoring/data projects for the Commission and is currently representing the agency on the SRFB, the Governor’s
Forum on Monitoring, SWIMTAC, Wetland Mitigation Banking, and related committees.
Carol graduated with honors with a B.S. in biology from the University of Hawaii, and then completed a M.S. and Ph.D. in Zoology as a National Science Foundation Fellow. She worked for WDFW as a fish biologist and Chinook Salmon Manager for several years before joining the Commission. |
