Washington State Conservation Commission

Tom Salzer joined the Commission staff in 1997 as a regional manager for Southwest Washington and coordinator for the Dairy Nutrient Management Program.

Tom has a B.S. degree in Geology from Central Washington University and worked as a geologist in the western U.S. and Indonesia. In 1992 he became the District Manager for Ferry Conservation District.

Tom manages information technology, elections, appointments, boundary and name changes, consolidations, and special assessment issues for the agency. He is also the rules coordinator for the agency, coordinates legal issues, and assists in public disclosure requests.

Bill Eller and Tom serve as state agency liaisons (SALs) with the Emergency Management Department.
