Coordinated Resource Management (CRM) empowers
local people to solve land use and natural resource issues, together,
through collaborative problem solving.
As our population expands, demands on Washington’s natural resources increase. Sound land management is critical. Meeting demands for resource productivity and quality often requires cooperation between landowners with conflicting management objectives, government programs, regulatory requirements, and individual or group interests.
Cooordinated Resource Management can be used to address many controversial issues by bringing local people together, improving communication, and developing practical and economical solutions.
The Coordinated Resource Management program serves as a foundation to support collaborative, locally-led processes to improve natural resource management. CRM applies to all communities and natural resource situations including areas dominated by public lands, private lands, or a mixture of the two.
