helpyourneighbor.gifPeople and property in the Green River valley face increased flood risk this winter.

You can help! Do you live outside the flood area? Do you have extra land? You could help farmers save their large animals and equipment.

King County is developing a list of landowners outside the Green River Valley who might be able to help valley farmers with: extra space to store heavy equipment such as tractors, tillers, discs, plows, mowers, etc.; and available shelters for livestock and farm animals.

The King Conservation District has published an informative brochure that describes things you can do now to reduce damage if flooding occurs.
