The Puget Sound Water Quality Work Plan Grants Program is a partnership between the Conservation Commission and the 12 conservation districts bordering Puget Sound that promotes and supports implementation of the current Puget Sound Water Quality Work Plan prepared by the Puget Sound Action Team (now known as the Puget Sound Partnership).

Funding appropriated to the Commission was distributed to the 12 Puget Sound Conservation Districts in equal amounts for project scopes of work developed in consultation with Puget Sound Action Team liaisons.

Puget Sound Conservation Districts utilize the funding to conduct outreach activities, provide technical and financial assistance to landowners for implementation of best management practices, participate in watershed planning, and coordinate water quality monitoring activities for high priority Puget Sound water quality problems.
