Commissioner Winder serves as Assistant Director for Washington State University Extension.
He has served in this role since April 1, 2006.
Key responsibilities include; statewide program coordination and accountability.
He oversees ongoing development and implementation of new web and publications processes for WSU Extension, and he works closely with the Associate Dean and Associate Director, Linda Kirk Fox to provide overall leadership of WSU Extension statewide operations.
Prior to joining WSU, Winder served as Assistant Director of Oregon State University Extension where he was responsible for county programs in 18 counties and research and extension centers and had oversight for statewide planning and accountability, long-range planning, and interaction with leadership in communities and organizations across the state.
John earned both a BS & MS in Animal Science from New Mexico State University.
He also holds a PhD in Animal Breeding and Genetics from Colorado State University. |
