Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP)

Provides pass through state capital legislative appropriations as match funding to conservation districts implementing a Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP) award from the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS).

Conservation Districts

Project / Round-Based

Conservation districts may request state matching funds for an RCPP from the SCC, but funding availability is dependent on legislative appropriations. Appropriations received by the SCC are allocated to conservation districts based on identified funding needs of awarded RCPPs for the current biennium.

Funding availability is dependent on match secured by the CD through an awarded NRCS RCPP for the current biennium.

Spring/Summer 2027 (awaiting RCPP NFO from NRCS)

CDs must have submitted an application to NRCS for an RCPP project and requested SCC match prior to submission of the SCC capital budget decision package (October 2027).

Continuous

Funds are awarded as soon as possible after approval of the biennial capital budget appropriation to SCC. (July 2027)

Work starts after award notice.
