Riparian Grant Program (RGP) - Restoration
Program Summary / Purpose
The Riparian Grant Program encourages incentive programs focusing on landowner projects to restore and maintain riparian management areas. This program is funded by the Climate Commitment Act.
Eligible Applicants
Conservation districts that meet Standard 1 Accountability requirements in SCC’s Conservation Accountability and Performance Program; other partners work through their local district
Funding Type
Competitive / Recurring Rounds
Award Limits & Caps
No fixed per‑project cap; districts may request funding for eligible riparian outreach, planning, restoration, maintenance, and permanent protection projects as funds allow. Awards may be partially funded if proposals include ineligible or lower‑priority activities.
Match Requirement
Match not fixed; projects often blend RGP funds with landowner and partner contributions.
