Rulemaking timeline
January through March - Staff research pre-draft proposed rule
March 19 – approval from the Conservation Commissioners to start the rulemaking process.
April 1 – File CR-101 and announce rulemaking
June 3 – File CR-102, the draft proposed rule. This includes proposed rule language.
June 17 – Comment period opens
July 30 – Public hearing held in person and online in Olympia.
July 31 – Comment period ends.
August 1 through 30 – SCC evaluates comments, creates responses and prepares information for the September commission meeting.
September 17 – SCC adopts the proposed rule at the commission meeting and files CR-103.
