This report summarizes a statewide update of Coordinated Resource Management (CRM) and Coordinated Weed Management Area (CWMA) groups, conducted by Whatcom Conservation District. Through interviews with practitioners and partners, the report examines the strengths, challenges, and long-term needs of CRMs across Washington. Findings highlight the model’s value in fostering voluntary, consensus-based collaboration while identifying barriers such as limited staffing, funding constraints, and inconsistent agency engagement. The report includes recommendations to support and strengthen CRM efforts statewide.
