This pilot study examines how glyphosate may affect two microbes that can harm aquatic life—Aeromonas (a fish pathogen) and Microcystis aeruginosa (a harmful algal bloom species)—within the Spokane River watershed. The research helps assess potential ecological risks associated with glyphosate use and its influence on fish health, water quality, and harmful algal blooms.
