The Washington State Conservation Commission (SCC) is seeking comments on several proposed changes to conservation district (CD) election rules. Details on the proposed changes are available on our rulemaking webpage.
Public comments are due at 5:00 pm on July 31, 2026.

Public hearing (in-person and online) July 30, 2026
In addition, SCC is hosting one hybrid (in-person and online) public hearing on these proposed changes. The public hearing is set for July 30, 2026, at 4 p.m. at the Best Western Plus Lacey Inn and Suites, 8326 Quinault Dr NE, Lacey, WA 98516.

The hearing will begin with a short presentation and question and answer session, followed by the opportunity to provide testimony.
Please note that any information (e.g., personal or contact) you provide during the hearing or through the online form will be made available to the public.
Any proposed changes adopted by the Conservation Commission at their September 17, 2026, meeting will be in effect for the upcoming CD elections taking place between January and March 2027.
