
Lora Liegel has more than 15 years of experience in conservation, agriculture, and public-sector program leadership. Her background includes program development, stakeholder engagement, partnership building, and coordination across complex systems and communities.
Before joining the Washington State Conservation Commission, Lora served as Program Administrator with the Washington State Department of Agriculture and previously as Executive Director of the Bellingham Farmers Market. Her work has centered on building collaborative partnerships and advancing programs that support resilient communities, working lands, and natural resource stewardship.
Lora holds an M.A. in Social Science: Environment & Community from California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt, and a B.A. in Geography from Oregon State University.
