Pomeroy Conservation District is holding an in-person election for a board supervisor position on Feb. 11, 2025. The poll site will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Pomeroy Conservation District, 910 Main Street, Pomeroy WA 99347. Pomeroy Conservation District assists the farmers and ranchers of Garfield County with the information, education, and cost share programs needed to help them move forward with the lasted cost-effective and efficient conservation practices available to improve or maintain the current soil health, water quality, and productivity of their operations. Many farmers and ranchers have used our programs to move into direct seed programs with guidance and variable rate systems, off-site livestock watering facilities, improved irrigation systems, and aggressive noxious weed control on the region's range land.
Board meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 8:00 AM at the district office, from January to June, and from September to December. There are no meetings in July and August.

Pomeroy Conservation District is helping a local livestock owner by developing infrastructure for a feedlot that will improve cattle management, reduce soil erosion, and enhance plant health, all while utilizing an existing water source and avoiding impact to Lower Deadman Creek.
