About Us

The Pomeroy Conservation District assists the farmers and ranchers of Garfield County with the information/education and cost share programs needed to help them move forward with the lasted cost effective and efficient conservation practices available to improve or maintain the current soil health, water quality and productivity of their operations. Many farmers and ranchers have used our programs to move into Direct Seeding programs with guidance and variable rate systems, off site livestock watering facilities, improved irrigation systems and aggressive noxious weed control on our range land.

Meeting Times

Meets the second Tuesday of each month, at 7:00 pm (December-February), or at 7:30 pm (March-November), in the district office (no meetings in the months of July and August).
