These guidelines outline financial assistance for CREP participants affected by the 2023–2024 USDA Farm Service Agency audit, which resulted in some contracts being canceled, reduced, or withdrawn. Using funds authorized by a 2024 legislative proviso, SCC will provide a one-time payment equal to one year of lost annual rental income to eligible participants. This assistance is intended only to offset financial losses and does not reinstate original contracts.
