Funding now open for conservation districts to cultivate native plants

This round of funding is open to Washington conservation districts to support the creation, improvement, and expansion of holding facilities to cultivate native trees and shrubs for riparian restoration projects.

Please review the funding guidelines here. The deadline for application submittals has been extended to March 3, 2023, at 5 p.m.

Link to application here.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. As a reminder, all deliverables must be received, and all installation work completed no later than June 15, 2023.

Please note that there will be additional RPPP grant opportunities in fiscal year 2024.

The award funding selection process for the creation of new holding sites will be guided by the following factors:

  • geographic necessity
  • experience in plant cultivation
  • long-term capacity to maintain plant cultivation for restoration projects.

Please keep in mind that while every effort will be made to accommodate as many qualified applicants as possible, not all submissions may be selected for funding.

For any questions regarding the application, please contact B’Elanna Rhodehamel, RPPP Manager.
