The Washington State Conservation Commission (SCC) is announcing several important updates to the Riparian Grant Program (RGP) for the FY25–27 biennium.
Extended Application Deadline
The RGP application deadline has been extended from June 13 to June 20, 2025. The following application deadline remains Monday, July 7 (the first Monday of the month). Final reporting for all Cost-Share and District Implemented Projects (DIP) continues to require the use of the Conservation Practice Data System (CPDS).
New Submission Option for DIP Applications
Conservation districts now have the option to submit District Implemented Projects through an Excel application template. This option is offered to streamline the application process.
Policy Exception Requests for July Expenditures
The extended application deadline will delay the timing of funding awards. Conservation districts that must begin work between July 1 and the award date may request a policy exception to allow reimbursement of eligible expenses incurred during that period.
To request a policy exception, districts must contact both their Regional Manager and RGP Manager Amy Martin. Requests should be submitted in conjunction with the July expense voucher.
Prospective DIP Applications Now Accepted
Districts may request funding for prospective District Implemented Projects where specific project sites have not yet been identified. These applications must:
- Be geographically focused by Water Resource Inventory Area (WRIA)
- Provide a clear and complete project description
Prospective projects will be tracked as a separate outcome.
For questions or further assistance, please contact your Regional Manager or RGP Manager Amy Martin.
