The Agricultural Viability Toolkit is designed to help Voluntary Stewardship Program (VSP) workgroups explore what agricultural viability means in their local context and identify practical strategies to strengthen it. The toolkit provides frameworks, examples, and discussion tools to guide counties and communities in defining agricultural viability, encompassing a farmer’s ability to productively manage land, maintain a sustainable business, preserve farmland for future generations, and steward natural resources for long-term productivity.
